Dr. Erick Tarula is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), where he specializes in neurocritical care. As the Equity and Inclusion Curriculum Director for the medical school, he brings educational leadership experience from his previous roles as Associate Residency Program Director and Pre-Clinical Neurosciences Course Director. His commitment to medical education extends beyond traditional education through his work as co-chair of MOLA mentoring program (a non-profit advocacy group for latino/a/x health professionals) and as a trained facilitator for BEAM (Building Equitable Access to Mentorship), an evidence-based program supporting underrepresented medical students at SMPH.
