Dr. Vicki Shanker is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a board-certified neurologist specializing in movement disorders. Dr. Shanker completed her neurology residency and served as Chief Resident at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a two-year fellowship in Movement Disorders at Beth Israel Medical Center. She serves as Neurology Residency Program Director at Mount Sinai West, Site Director for the Mount Sinai Medical Student Neurology Clerkship, and Faculty Development Educator at the Mount Sinai Institute for Medical Education. She is the recipient of the 2017 ACGME Courage to Teach Award and the 2017 American Academy of Neurology Program Director Award. She is a member of the ACGME’s Neurology RRC, AAN Education Committee and currently serves as chair of the AAN Conference Subcommittee.
