The Association of Academic Leaders of Neurology (AALN), pronounced All In, is the only organization focused exclusively on developing leaders in academic neurology, through coaching, peer connection, and real world leadership education.

Our Focus
AALN focuses on the people leading the systems — those running departments, teaching programs, and mentoring the next generation. It connects leadership across silos and across career stages to build strength, clarity, and sustainability in academic neurology and clinical neuroscience.

Our Mission
To empower those shaping the future of neurology through connection, shared wisdom, and transformative leadership development.

Our Vision
To be the driving force advancing leadership in academic neurology.

Our Purpose
To ensure the future of academic neurology by empowering the people who lead it.
AALN nurtures a stronger, smarter, and more connected generation of academic neurology leaders. Beyond offering programs or resources, AALN cultivates the leadership capacity, ethical grounding, and collaborative culture necessary to sustain and advance the field for the next generation.

Why An Owl?

As a nod to our primary brand archetype, the Sage, symbolized by the owl, we’ve adopted an owl as a mascot for AALN. The owl represents wisdom, guidance, and thoughtful leadership, qualities that reflect the heart of our association.

We advance academic neurology through educational integrity, innovative thinking, and the ongoing development and exchange of knowledge that strengthen leadership, enhance education, and elevate the field.
